Antlect maps the forces
behind innovation.

Better decisions depend on better intelligence. Antlect is built for professionals who need answers with context and relevance, not just more data to sift through.

{ THE CHALLENGE }

We live in a knowledge economy, yet most innovation sectors operate without unified intelligence, losing critical context and IP along the way.

Across the board, teams spend more time gathering information than synthesising it, so multimillion-dollar business, R&D and policy decisions are still made on disconnected signals.

Fragmented data creates information, not intelligence
Intelligence emerges only when data is systematically synthesised across ecosystems to expose relationships, patterns, and context. For most organisations, this still takes months to years.
You don't know what you don't know
In a knowledge economy, it is not just about what you know. It is about discovering what you do not know, and doing so as early and as continuously as possible.
Innovation demands systems thinking
From lab bench to boardroom, every decision carries impact, from processes to policies. Stronger decisions need a better system to analyse context, relationships, shifting perspectives and outcomes.

{ THE SOLUTION }

Transforming fragmented ecosystems into trusted decision intelligence.

Antlect models the innovation ecosystem as a descriptive digital twin, connecting over 100 million trusted data points through a unified ontology to reveal how the ecosystem is evolving, so your team can move faster and make stronger decisions.

Transform information into intelligence
Antlect synthesises massive amounts of innovation data into a descriptive digital twin of the ecosystem. This enables stronger decisions by revealing how research, capability, impact, and IP are connected.
Intelligence is driven by context
Antlect surfaces patterns, relationships, and gaps across the ecosystem, revealing not just what exists, but what is missing and why it matters to your decisions.
Ground every decision in the full picture
Antlect brings together research, funding, policy, and capability into a single view, giving your team the context to make confident decisions in days rather than months.

Why Antlect stands apart

Research and innovation intelligence demands more than generic AI tools.

Feature
Antlect
Public LLMs
Other Providers
Architecture
Stateful, builds context and memory as you work, with fact-checking built in
Stateless, every query starts from zero
Stateless point tools with no continuity
Data & AI
Grounded data first, AI is the interface to it, not the source of truth
AI generates answers from training data, prone to hallucination
Keyword matching or basic semantic search over a single dataset
Ontology
Proprietary ontology connecting research, patents, funding, and policy across millions of records as grounded data
No ontology, general-purpose text prediction based on vector embeddings with stripped context
Siloed, single-dataset taxonomies
Security
Private by design, no third-party training on your data
User queries may be used for training
Varies by vendor, often unclear
UI
Purpose-built terminal interface for research and innovation intelligence
Chat UI designed for everyone
Legacy interfaces built for a single profession
Output
AI-compiled reports with full context and relevance
Self-service only
Raw data exports requiring manual synthesis

Knowledge Management

Every decision depends on context. Organise policies, collections, evidence, and research artefacts in one place, preserving knowledge across projects and teams so every decision builds on what already exists.

Cancer Research Landscape

An average of 80 people are diagnosed with cancer every day across Aotearoa. As the population ages, annual diagnoses are projected to rise from more than 30,000 in 2025 to over 45,000 by 2044, which makes it more important than ever to see how research effort lines up with need. Answering that question means looking at the research system itself, rather than at the disease alone.

The figure below maps every major source of cancer research funding in New Zealand over the past decade.

Cancer Research Funding Landscape 2016–2026
State Funded
HRC Funding199$158.63M
Marsden Fund23$15.94M
Endeavour Fund2$2.33M
Ngā Pūanga Pūtaiao Fellowship2$2.32M
Rutherford Discovery Fellowship2$1.60M
HRC Research Activation Grant25$1.25M
Catalyst Fund17$0.97M
Tāwhia te Mana Research Fellowship1$0.82M
Rutherford Foundation Fellowship1$0.21M
Philanthropic & Charitable
Cancer Society Research54$52.00M
Breast Cancer Cure37$20.00M*
Cancer Research Trust New Zealand107$9.39M
Cure Kids4$3.20M
Canterbury Medical Research Foundation18$1.22M

Cancer research in New Zealand draws on two distinct sources operating at different scales. State funding is concentrated: the Health Research Council accounts for $158.63M across 224 grants, with the Marsden Fund, the Endeavour Fund and a set of named fellowships making up most of the remainder. Philanthropic funding is more dispersed. Cancer Research Trust New Zealand made 107 grants over the period, more than any state fund except the Health Research Council. Cancer Society Research, with 54 grants, is the second largest single source in the country.

Cancer remains the leading cause of death in New Zealand, with five cancer types accounting for half of all cancer deaths. Research activity is distributed differently, and the pattern is not visible from funding records alone, because no single source records which cancer a grant addresses or how it connects to clinical trial activity. Establishing that requires funding, publication, trial and institutional records to be linked through entity resolution.
